JOHAN SMIT

Johan Smith was born in 1961. While studying BSc Agriculture, Johan took up ceramics on a part-time basis. His work was then selected for both regional and national exhibitions for the South African Potters Association.

In 1995, Johan quit his job to pursue a career as professional artist.

Johan has received widespread recognition for his work. He has participated in numerous groups shows as well as several solo exhibitions in leading galleries in South Africa. Johan’s positive, energetic character is captured in his work, making it a pleasure to admire and enjoy.
