JACQUES DU PLESSIS
Jacques was born on 17 September 1985 in Florida on the West Rand. His parents moved to Hartebeespoort dam where he matriculated in 2004 at Hartebeespoort High school.
He never had any formal art education but from a very young age he had the impressive ability to create art. At Primary School he was well known for his ability to draw and his art talent.
After school for about 2 years, under the influence of Christiaan Nice, Jacques learned about painting and preparing paintings.
It was only in October 2007 that his first work was exhibited at Crouse Art Gallery art exhibition. From the word go his work hit great popularity from the public and great art collectors. Jacques’s rich colors and choice of subject matter along with the ability to capture old world charm makes his work highly regarded by local and international collectors alike.
